What’s the best credit card for a college student.

Also this may sound dumb but:

If you don’t make any purchases on a credit card, do you still have to pay something monthly. Basically if my balance is zero, I wont be charge anything for that month unless I make a purchase.

Do not get a credit card. Trust me you can survive without one. I thought I needed one my freshman year so I ended up getting two and bought a whole bunch of crap i didnt really need. Now I’m in a heap of debt and I haven’t even told my mom yet. I screwed up my credit big time and God knows how long it will take to fix it. You will tell yourself all the lies in the world to use it. Its just the credit card getting in ur head. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Dont get a credit card.

My suggestion - stay away from credit like the plague. Save and then buy with cash. Work 2 jobs. Get grants and scholarships. Use student loans as a last resort. Try to get through college debt free.

Remember that the debtor is slave to the lender.
